Embark on a 6 days Trekking Sahara from Zagora to M’Hamid. Traverse Jebel Bani, Oued Lamhacer, Chégaga Dunes, and Bertam with Karim Sahara Trekking.
Day 1 – Zagora – Bani – Oum Lachar – Diabi
Welcome in the morning at 8:30 a.m., in Zagora, at the meeting point and contact with the guide and the assistance team.
Then departure by private vehicle to begin the hike at the foot of Jebel Bani, about forty kilometers from Zagora.
After loading the camels, the caravan sets off to cross the Jebel via the Oum Lachar pass.
After about 2 and a half hours, we take a lunch break in the shade of a tree.
We then continue walking for 1 hour and a half and we arrive at the small Diabi oasis, in the hollow of the mountains, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2 – Oasis Diabi – Oued Lamhacer
After breakfast, we leave this oasis and walk along Oued Lamhacer for about 3 hours.
We will take a break for lunch in the shade of an acacia tree.
After a well-deserved rest, we will resume the hike towards our bivouac located at the exit of the Oued where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3 – Lamhacer – Chégaga
After breakfast, we set off to discover the immense sea of sand of Chégaga.

After a well-deserved rest, we continue walking towards our bivouac, located in the middle of the Chégaga dunes. You will admire the sunset before dinner as well as the sky studded with a thousand stars before nightfall in a Berber tent.
Day 4 – Chégaga – Bouguern/Talhat
After breakfast, we start the trek on foot or on the back of a camel and we pass a multitude of small dunes on the end of Chégaga.
After three hours of walking, we will break for lunch in the shade of a tamarisk tree.
We continue the route to our bivouac set up at the Bouguern or Talhat dunes where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5 – Bouguern/Talhat – Bertam
After breakfast and loading the camels, the caravan sets off for another day of walking in a flat desert.

The night bivouac will be set up in the middle of the Bertam dunes.
We will celebrate our last stop in the desert around a campfire with tasting of bread baked under the sand according to tradition, accompanied by mint tea.
Day 6 – Bertam – M’Hamid – Zagora
After breakfast, we set off to the rhythm of the camels and we continue in a landscape of sand and tamarisk trees.
Lunch will be served in the shade of a tamarisk tree and participants will be able to enjoy a well-deserved rest before arriving in M’Hamid at the end of the afternoon.
At M’Hamid, we will join the road to leave the camels and we will take a private vehicle for the return to Zagora.
