Day 1 – Zagora – Elfayja – Hassi Tjiniya
Reception at 9 a.m. at the starting point of the hike.
After putting on the nomadic outfit, contact with the guide and the assistance team then allocation of horses.
Then depart for the adventure on foot or horseback across the flat desert of Elfayja, an area which has recently begun to be used by some ancient nomads to cultivate watermelon.
After three hours of walking, we will take a break in Sade, for lunch in the shade of an acacia tree.
After lunch, we will resume walking and reach our bivouac located in Hassi Tjiniya at the foot of the Bani Mountains where you will have dinner and spend your first night.
Day 2 – Hassi Tjiniya – Moulili – Lamrayer.
After a hearty breakfast, we find our mounts waiting for us a little further on.
We resume trekking and we cross the Jebel Bani via the Tjiniya pass (1095 m altitude) with approximately 300 to 400 meters of elevation which you will climb to enjoy a superb view of the entire valley and the immensity of the Saharan space.
We will stop for lunch in the dry oasis of Moulili beyond the mountains.
After this well-deserved rest, we head to our bivouac set up in the middle of the Lamrayer dunes, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3 – Lamrayer – Erg Elghool ou Erg Lihoudi (depending on the time and the season)
After a hearty breakfast, we will continue the Saharan discovery.
After two to two and a half hours of walking in the sand, we will stop for lunch in the shade of a tamarisk tree.
In the afternoon we will reach the sand hills of Erg Elghool or Erg Lihoudi (depending on the time and season) where our bivouac will be set up. You will have dinner and spend the night there.
Day 4 – Erg Elghool or Erg Lihoudi – M’hamid – Zagora
After breakfast, we will resume hiking on foot or on camel back through the dunes of M’hamid.
Lunch en route and in the afternoon we reach the road where we leave the camels, take a private vehicle to take us back to Zagora at the end of the afternoon.
